It's called Iceman Ötzi Peak, the panoramic platform recently created in the Schnal Valley, on the Grawand, at 3251 meters above sea level, from which you can enjoy a splendid view of the Similaun snow, the Giogo Alto glacier and the border between Italy and Austria, marked by the stream that flows at the foot of the glacier.

A steel work, created by a South Tyrolean company, and reachable safely via a ladder with handrail in 10 minutes from the mountain station of the cable car that starts from Maso Corto.
The platform was designed as a contribution to tourism, but criticisms have emerged regarding the name chosen in English (Iceman Ötzi Peak) by the Heimatpflegeverband Sudtirol.
“No change of name to a peak. We have built a viewing platform on the Grawandspitze, Krahwandspitze, Croda delle Cornacchie and given the latter a name: Iceman Otzi Peak 3,251 meters "have announced the Val Senales Glacier Cable Cars.
“It is our goal - said the Val Senales Glacier Cable Car - to make known the roots of our homeland through significant terms and concepts also to guests of remote origin, showing that the icy altitudes were already populated thousands of years ago. Mountains belong to everyone. Precisely for this reason we have created a panoramic platform with easy access, guaranteeing any person ".
The viewing platform will be accessible starting from August.

Argentera
