Well, in a few months he won two races, between Bad Gastein and the final one in Berchtesgaden, and above all he took home his second crystal ball in his favorite discipline, the PSL, and the "coppone" one year after the triumph of the other lighthouse of the movement, Roland Fischnaller. "Aaron had only won in Moscow, but he has always been there at the top with many podiums and great consistency - the analysis of Cesare Pisoni - This year he brought out his wickedness and the qualities in which we have always believed: the determination shown in Berchtesgaden was the symbol of his season, but he is an example for the younger generation for professionalism, perseverance and education. He is a unique athlete ”. The new holder of the crystal ball, from Val di Funes to Alpe di Siusi where he has lived for years, is a graduate in economics and commerce and so he retraced the decisive race in Berchtesgaden, in which he was the quarter-final against Andreas Prommegger, rival of a thousand battles in his career and beaten by a single penny, to decide the assignment of the most important cup. “Yes, I realized that that run was worth everything, it was not easy because on the eve of the race everyone told me that I was in front of the standings, but in reality I had very little advantage over many pursuers and therefore I could not make any calculations. We are friends with Andreas, we both made a practically perfect descent, a bit of luck was on my side and, from that moment on, the semifinal and final were just fun for me ”. The turning point in your career? For the blue there are no secrets, if not “the tranquility with which I approached the season, thinking only that I had to do it for myself and not for others. A little extra freedom that took the pressure off me ”, while Pisoni himself explains how“ the human aspects, in our team, are very important. It is a small and compact family, with very strong athletes who challenge each other in every training session as if it were a competition. It is the smallest team among those I lead, but there are highly trained technicians and a great union ”. The blue dt also spoke about the great Olympic goal. “In Beijing we will find a beautiful slope, with the right slope to show the beauty of snowboarding, enhancing the technical gesture. We will obviously focus on PGS next season, being the Olympic specialty, simulating as much as possible the characteristics of what we will find in China, especially in terms of snow which is very dry. In February it will be very cold and with a lot of wind there will be a lot of sand in the snow, which becomes abrasive and really ... unique. The choices? They will be very hard for us technicians, we have six men who can win and we will only be able to bring four ”. In Beijing, obviously if he returns to the squad, there will also be March who does not close the doors even at the 2026 Olympic Games, those at home in Milan-Cortina. “The overall cup is the top of my career, it best represents the strongest athlete, but as long as I enjoy riding around with Cesare and these guys and I'm competitive, I don't even think about retiring. So I am not excluding the 2026 Games at all ”.
