Great satisfaction for the organizers of the Piancavallo snowboard World Cup stage. "We are very satisfied to find that the FIS appreciated our efforts - commented Sima - the inspector in particular congratulated us on how we prepared the track and on the fact that we managed to guarantee a greater snow depth at 50cm over almost the entire surface of the track. Now we just have to welcome the athletes for the first official training sessions scheduled for next Thursday and Friday and then enjoy the races. "
It will be a weekend full of waiting for the Italian team that will present itself in Piancavallo as an authentic dominant of the World Cup. In fact, the Blues lead the first 4 places in the general classification of the men's parallel with the veteran Roland Fischnaller in command before Maurizio Bormolini from Livorno and the two South Tyroleans Daniele Bagozza and Edwin Coratti. To complete the extraordinary results of the team led by Cesare Pisoni there is also the Trentino Mirko Felicetti who is in sixth place overall. Same goes also for specialty rankings. Saturday 25 January at the end of the parallel slalom races, the parterre will turn into a real open-air disco, thanks to the music of the numerous DJs of international fame who will take turns on the arrival parterre, creating The Snowboard Weekend. great news of the last minute is the prestigious collaboration with the Giro d'Italia which will color one of the two race courses pink, promoting the stage of May 24 that will start from the Air Force Base of Rivolto and will end with a spectacular uphill arrival right in Piancavallo.
