In Piancavallo, on the occasion of the Italian Absolute Snowboard Championships, Michela Moioli unveiled a preview at Neveitalia which will be the goals for the coming seasons.

The Olympic champion of bordercross, world champion silver at the recent American World Championships has in fact decided to embark on a new career in the world of snowboarding, that is even to compete in parallel competitions.
A surprising decision, if we consider that usually the reverse transition takes place, that is from alpine snowboard to snowboard cross, but carefully studied together with the federation technicians who endorsed the new project.
In fact, Michela will use the parallel tests to refine the technique and above all to keep herself trained at the race pace since lately the competitions of the bordercross calendar have often been canceled. A new challenge, therefore, for the twenty-four-year-old from Bergamo who at the Italian snowboard championships immediately competed in the two specialties of the parallel, the psl and the psg, overcoming the qualifying cut in both tests.
Moioli and the technicians of the national snowboard team were also struck by the excellent preparation of the Piancavallo slopes and in particular the track that hosted the parallel giant's competitions, which according to Technical Director Cesare Pisoni is identical in slope and conformation to the Chinese Secret Garden track that will host the World Championships in 2021 and that, especially in 2022, will host the Winter Olympic Games.
In this regard, the authorities of Piancavallo are already working in concert with the Italian Winter Sports Federation to intensify the collegiate groups at the Friulian locality and do not exclude that in the next few years the Pordenone mountain can host World Cup events.
