Successes for Nawrath and Mironova in the pursuits of Idre

The first leg of the Ibu Cup ended yesterday with a day dedicated to the pursuits.

In the men's race came the comeback success of Philipp Nawrath, who has made precision at the polygon his strong point. The German completed his chase only in the last standing session, where he was the only top athlete to cover all the targets with precision. Behind him is the Russian Alexander Povarnitsyn (0 + 0 + 3 + 1), fourth in the Sprint of the other day, and the surprising French Martin Perillat Bottonet (0 + 0 + 1 + 0), started with the bib 15. Just off the podium were the Germans Roman Rees 4th and Dominic Reiter 5th, they have closed behind instead two protagonists of the Swedish stage, the Russian Anton Babikov 8th and the French Aristide Bègue 9th, which remains at the top of the standings of Ibu Cup with 146 points. The women's race was won by the Russian Svetlana Mironova (0 + 0 + 2 + 1) who preceded by 17 "the Swedish Ingela Andersson (1 + 1 + 0 + 1) and 21" the compatriot Anastasiia Morozova (1 + 0 + 0 + 3). At the foot of the podium was the other Swedish Elisabeth Högberg, leading the race until the last polygon, where however he missed four targets. The winner of the second Sprint managed however to put behind her compatriot Johanna Skottheim, comeback from the 14th place. Ingela Andersson leads the Ibu Cup standings with 142 points, three more than the Russian pair Mironova-Morozova, paired in second place. From December 13 to 16, the Ibu Cup will pass from Italy, in Ridnaun Valley, where the Italian national team will also be back in action.
