Everything is ready in Forni Avoltri for the Summer Biathlon Festival 2017

Twenty-seven athletes from six different countries will challenge themselves on the skiroll track of Piani di Luzza.

The most important guest will be Kaisa Makerarinen who won for two times the biathlon World cup. Other important names are Selina Gasparin (who arrived at the second place at the Olympic Games), Teja Gregorin (third place at Sochi 2014), Dorothea Wierer (one of the best Italian biathletes) and Lisa Vittozzi.

Unfortunately Federica Sanfilippo and Karin Oberhofer will not be present (the former due to personal reasons, the latter because she is waiting to giving birth to her first child).
Concerning men, three are the important names to keep in mind: Lukas Hofer, Dominik Windisch and Klemen Bauer.

Saturday is certainly the most important day of the event. The biathletes are challenging in a single mixed competition and in a shooting competition. On the other hand, cross-country athletes are competing in a mixed team sprint starting with athletes Under 23 (together with Ilaria Debertolis and Caterina Ganz of team A). There will be many other initiatives and a party under the big tent.

In order to make this Festival unique and special (it is the only one organised in summer time in a real shooting range) there will be the presentation of the big protagonists of Lillehammer 1994 and Torino 2006 Olympic Games. For the first time, all together: Marco Albarello, Maurilio De Zolt, Giorgio Vanzetta, Silvio Fauner, Fulvio Valbusa, Giorgio Di Centa, Pietro Piller Cottrer and Cristian Zorzi.
