The season of major sporting events continues at the Carnia Arena International Biathlon Center in Forni Avoltri. The Federal Center located in Piani di Luzza, in fact, will host the Italian compressed air biathlon championships next weekend.

An event that will see protagonists in Carnia, the best prospects from all over Italy in the categories of Boys (under 13) and Students (under 15).
An important appointment for the Carnic center, organized as usual by the local Asd Monte Coglians in collaboration with the Sci Cai Trieste Asd and with the precious contribution of PromoTurismoFVG, which completes a winter season really full of great events. The Carnia Arena in fact, last December was the scene of the Italian Cup of biathlon and at the beginning of January it returned to host, after many years, an international biathlon event, the Opa Alpen Cup, which testifies to the will to restore the biathlon center to the glories of the past.
The weekend of the Italian Championships will open on Friday 29 January with the official training sessions followed by the meeting of the team leaders. On Saturday 30th, on the other hand, the men's and women's sprint races will start at 10.00, valid for the Students category, then at 13.00 it will be the turn of the Boys category who will face the same competition format.
Sunday 31 January grand finale, with pursuit tests. At 10.00 will start the pursuits valid for the students category (male and female), at 13.00 instead, it will be the turn of the boys category.
The Forni Avoltri competitions will follow the Covid-19 protocols provided by the Italian Federation of Winter Sports.All athletes must in fact: 1) deliver the COVID self-certification forms duly completed for each athlete and companion; 2) indicate in which facility its own committee and the date of arrival and departure are accommodated; 3) collect the identification bracelets and access to the track for both athletes and technicians, to be worn for the entire duration of the Championship;
The two days of competitions in Forni Avoltri will be closely followed by Neveitalia.it, the reference portal in Italy for the world of mountains and winter sports, which for some years has been closely following the sporting events of the Carnic center and which also offers the webcam service of the structure.
