The thirty year old native of Tyumen, sister of Anton Shipulin, & egrave; the only athlete able to successfully defend an Olympic title in the women's biathlon, having set in both sprint Vancouver 2010 Sochi 2014.
Additionally & egrave ;, along with Kati Wilhelm, the 'only woman capable of winning an Olympic gold in two different editions of the Games. Overall, he won seven races in the World Cup closing on the podium in 20 opportunities.
This season Kuzmina had not participated in any competition and, according to rumors, had planned to retire in the spring. Not & egrave; yet clear whether this is a final withdrawal, or whether it is only a pause Maternity & agrave; and then can go back in business & agrave; 2015 - '' 16.
