It is official, after the passage from Ruhpolding in 2020 due to the Coronavirus emergency, the Christmas festival will return home this year.

As in 2002, the Schalke 04 stadium in Gelsenkirchen will be the venue for this season's World Team Challenge. This was announced by the German Winter Sports Federation confirming that the event, which in 2018 saw Lukas Hofer and Dorothea Wierer win, will take place on Tuesday 28 December.
