Biathlon: France wins the Single Mixed of Oberhof, Wierer and Hofer seventh

All nations choose to field their tips in the first Single Mixed of the season that crowns Frenchmen Julia Simon and Emilien Jacquelin. Dorothea Wierer and Lukas Hofer, imprecise at the shooting range, have to use ten reloads and only close sevenths.

Julia Simon ((0 + 3) and Emilien Jacquelin (0 + 0) dominate far and wide the Single Mixed which closes the first stage of Oberhof of the Biathlo World Cup. The French couple has to deal with half the race with Norway but in the standing polygon of the third fraction the collapse of Tiril Eckhoff (3 + 3) is staged, with three penalty laps. An arrembante Johannes Boe (0 + 5) on skis is not enough to go beyond the third place on the finish line at 43.9 from the transalpines. A solid Swedish couple, made up of Hanna Oeberg (0 + 2) and Sebastian Samuelsson (0 + 3) take the second step of the podium at 38.7 while Hettich (0 + 3) and Lesser (0 + 3) fail to go beyond the fourth position at 1.02.0. Once again the health of the Belarusian biathlon is confirmed which with Sola (0 + 4) and Labastau (0 + 2) still closes fifth at 1.13.8. Sixth place for Lunder (0 + 2) and Gow (0 + 2) with Canada at 1.17.6 while the performance of the Italian couple is a little below expectations; Dorothea Wierer (0 + 3) and Lukas Hofer (0 + 7) miss too much at the shooting range and finish in seventh place at 1.36.3.
