Norway and Germany have announced the athletes who will take part in the German stage of Oberhof, scheduled from 8 to 10 January. Six men and six women were forced into the Norwegian team. In the women's team, in addition to the two big players Tiril Eckhoff and Marte Roiseland, Karoline Knotten, Ida Lien, Ingrid Tandervold and newcomer Jenny Enodd were called. Among the men, however, the patrol will be led by the World Cup holder Johannes Bo, flanked by his brother Tarej, Vetle Christiansen, Johannes Dale, Sturla Laegreid and the potential crack Sivert Bakken, born in '98. Twelve called up (between men and women) also for the German selection in view of the home leg. The most important news is the return to the World Cup of Simon Schempp, who was missing in the maximum circuit since the last race of last season (the chase on March 14, 2020 in Kontiolahti). In addition to Schempp, five other biathletes were called: Benedikt Doll, Arnd Peiffer, Erik Lesser, Philipp Horn and Lukas Fratzscher.
