Like two years ago, Sweden prevails in the Hochfilzen men's relay ahead of Norway and Germany.

The throwing fraction is tactical as often happens in the men's field and the difference is the standing shooting range: the Russian Eliseev (0-1) takes advantage of it, who comes out with 6 seconds ahead of the Swiss Stalder (0 + 1) and 10.3 on the Norwegian Laegreid (0 + 2). Guigonnat (0 + 2) is at 12.7 with Lesser (0 + 4) and Femling (0 + 2). Didier Bionaz, excellent in the first two laps, pays a penalty and Italy is one minute away.
At the first change they are in front of four: Laegreid, the Finnish Harjiula (0 + 1), Guigonnat and Lesser; Russia is at 5.8, Sweden at 8.0; Italy eighteenth (1 + 4) at 1.01.3.
There are six to face together the session on the ground of the second fraction and the polygon is unable to make further selection. Good news comes from Lukas Hofer who comes out at 40.9 from the head after having already recovered about twenty seconds. Rees' Germany (0 + 0) and Simon Eder's Austria (0 + 0) leave the second polygon with an advantage of 10.2 over Nelin (0 + 1), 21.6 over Seppala's Finland (0 + 3), Garanichev (0 + 2). Johannes Dale (0 + 3) is ninth at 38.6 with Hofer (0 + 2); France crashes with Jacquelin's two penalty rounds (2 + 3), fourteenth at 1.10.9.
Halfway through the race, Germany, Austria and Sweden lead; Norway and Finland are 15 seconds away with Russia and Slovenia (0 + 2), Italy eighth at 24.1, France eleventh at 58.4.
A wild Tarjei Boe enters first position in the section from which it comes out paired to Ponsiluoma; Benedikt Doll is at 14.5 with Latypov and Ranta; Bormolini uses two reloads and is eighth at 40 seconds, Fabien Claude is tenth at 59.5. The second polygon allows the return of Doll (0 + 1) who joins Boe (0 + 2) and Ponsiluoma (0 + 3) but does not keep their pace on skis in the third lap. The last handover sees Norway and Sweden with 10.5 over Germany and 26.7 over Latypov (0 + 3). Switzerland (0 + 6) is fifth at 52.6, Austria (0 + 5) at 53.1 Finland and Italy at 1.15.4, Claude (0 + 4) at 1.26.7.
It is a duel between Johannes Thingnes Boe and Sebastian Samuelsson: a recharge of the Norwegian on the ground does not change the race; over half a minute the strange couple Loginov and Horn, the Swiss Hartweg uses three reloads and finds himself alongside Windisch (5/5) at 1.30.0, Eberhard after a penalty lap and Krcmar are around two minutes; Fillon Maillet also turns.
It is Samuelsson (0 + 2) who greets the company for the victory of Sweden with Johannes Boe (1 + 4) who, after problems with the rifle, has to turn keeping the second position out with 8 seconds ahead of Horn ( 0 + 2) jumping Loginov ((1 + 3). Windisch uses two reloads and is seventh.
Sweden (0 + 8) imposes itself with a 5.7 advantage over Norway (1 + 11); third place for Germany (0 + 7) at 44.1, fourth for Russia (1 + 9) at 1.13.5, an exceptional Krcmar (0 + 0) drags the Czech Republic (0 + 6) to sixth place, France (3 +12) seventh at 1.51.3, Austria (1 + 11) octave, Italy (1 + 10) octave at 2.04.2.
