Tommaso Giacomel climbs to twenty-first position, the result of an excellent start to the season which also earned him tenth position in the Pursuit standings.

The stage of Le Grand Bornand, which began with the fifth consecutive victory of Johannes Thingnes Boe, proved to be in favor of the squire Sturla Holm Laegreid who, taking second place in the Sprint and Mass Start and the victory in the Pursuit, recovered well 30 points in the general standings to the most famous teammate. Under the Christmas tree, Johannes Boe can count on 599 points while Laegreid sits at 565.
The two Norwegians make a vacuum in the light of the setback by the French Emilien Jacquelin who at home does not go beyond the thirteenth place in the Sprint and maintains the third position in the general standings with 319 points but on returning from vacation he will have to defend himself against the return of Vetle Christiansen, sparkling on French soil, now seated at 285 points and compatriot Fabien Claude, never below seventh place in Annecy with two fourth places, at 275 points. while the reconfirmation of the last crystal ball winner Quentin Fillon Maillet, only eighth with 270 points, appears increasingly distant.
Thanks to the results, Tommaso Giacomel, ninth in the pursuit of Le Grand Bornand, is now in twenty-first position with 251 points, a position that should guarantee him access to the Mass Starts for the rest of the season.

Three victories out of three contested races, the red bib of the 10 km is indisputably on the shoulders of Johannes Thingnes Boe while two second places and a third place lead Sturla Holm Laegreid to chase, at a respectable distance, with 210 points, 60 less than the compatriot. Third in the standings with 148 points is Emilien Jacquelin who precedes Martin Ponsiluoma and Benedikt Doll.
