Beijing 2022, the squad of two national teams who have experienced, at least so far, a season with mixed fortunes. Alimbekava, Sola and Smolski ready to amaze again.

The German Olympic Committee has also released the list of biathletes called up for the Beijing Olympics. It's not easy to fight for medals, but some surprises may still come. The call-up of Preuss, the strongest among women and capable of good results at the beginning of the season, leaves some question marks about her form having missed the last stages of the World Cup.
Herrmann could be the loose cannon, although it does not seem to be the one of last season. In his case, only the third place stands out in the opening race in Oestersund. As for the men's sector, the various Rees, Lesser, Doll and Kuehn (winner in the Hochfilzen sprint) could take advantage of some missteps of the other nations in a relay perspective, considering the Ruhpolding podium. Difficult to hope for a medal on an individual level.

BELARUS COME ON ... TEN
One of the most surprising nations of this season, Belarus, has announced in recent days the names of the ten athletes who will go to Beijing. The country clings to Dzinara Alimbekava, already on the podium this season and author of five fourth places, and Hanna Sola winner in the Hochfilzen sprint this year, albeit in decline in recent races. Among the men stands out the name of Anton Smolski, athlete in great shape, and Belarus can also be an excellent outsider for the women's relay thanks to the contribution of Elena Kruchinkina and Irina Leshchenka.
