With the closure of the Le Grand Bornand stage, the Biathlon World Cup has reached a third of its way and the Christmas holidays see the twenty-six year old from Albertville firmly at the top of the standings.

Even in a stage that had seen her start limping with fifteenth place in the Sprint, Julia Simon put precious hay in the farmhouse with podiums and leads with 471 points, a good 76 lengths ahead of Elvira Oeberg, the best in the three days in France, which relaunched with victory in the Pursuit, fourth place in the Mass Start and eighth in the Sprint. The Swede overtakes Lisa Vittozzi who, after the sixth place in the Sprint and the second place in the Pursuit, scored the worst placement of this part of the season in the mass start.
The Sappada has 373 points and precedes the German Denise Herrmann by 17 lengths who was a bit disappointed in the head-to-head races in Annecy and the Norwegian Ingrid Tandrevold by 24 points. Dorothea Wierer is tenth in the standings with 276 points.

Sprint
With a victory, a third place and a sixth, the German Denise Hermann wears the red bib of the Sprint with 190 points while the flanking positions present a little surprise at this moment of the season. The Swede you don't expect, Linn Persson is second with 166 points while the third is the Austrian Hauser who capitalizes on Kontiolahti's victory and is at 138 points. The same score obtained in the three races by Lisa Vittozzi but without victories. Dorothea Wierer is ninth with 96 points.

Two victories and third place in Annecy, Julia Simon's domination (240 points) in the Pursuit specialty classification seems undisputed even if the Frenchwoman is closely followed by Elvira Oeberg at 200 points. As in the general classification Lisa Vittozzi, thanks to the fourth place of Kontiolahti, the eighth of Hochfilzen and the second in France is third with 159 points, seven more than the Norwegian Ingrid Tandrevold. At 148 points, Dorothea Wierer is fifth.
