Biathlon: the French squadron for the Beijing Games, with Fillon Maillet, Jacquelin and a quality women's group

The players called up in the French home, with 12 athletes for the Olympic review, and those of the Canadian team with 8 cards available.

In the past few hours, the Canadian and French Olympic committees have formally indicated those who will compete in the Olympic biathlon trials, although there are no big news compared to expectations. For Canada there will be eight representatives, while twelve are the official names for the transalpines, among the points of reference after a great season that sees, among other things, Quentin Fillon Maillet launched towards the crystal ball. Canada which obtained three medals in the history of biathlon thanks to Myriam Bédard in the editions of 1992 and 1994 (with a sprint-individual double in Lillehammer); on the contrary, the French have a more prestigious palmares considering that they obtained five medals in the last review of PyeongChang alone, obviously led by Martin Fourcade. If for France the level of the collective does not exclude any candidate for a possible medal, the same cannot be said for the North American national team, which has the best biathletes in the Gow brothers and Emma Lunder.
