In the days when Laura Dahlmeier announced her retirement from racing, the world biathlon women's movement lost another protagonist for the 2019/20 season.

It is the French Anais Chevalier, great protagonist of the first part of the season of the past winter, when she was in the fight for the general classification with the blue Dorothea Wierer and Lisa Vittozzi.
The French biathlete gave the happy announcement of maternity on the social networks, declaring to be forced to skip the next World Cup season and the Antholz World Cup. Anais also said she was motivated to return to the races, with the focus on the Beijing Winter Olympic Games 2022.
However, the past few days have also been driven by the coaching market. The three-time Olympic champion Michael Greis was in fact announced the new coach of the Polish national team. The German, fresh from an experience in the US technical staff, will begin his new adventure in early June and will replace Nadia Bielowa, who has had to give up the job for health reasons. According to local media reports, Greis will lead Poland until the next Winter Olympics.
On the other hand in terms of birth rate, the news came from France of the birth of Vincent Jay's second son, Olympic champion in the 2010 Vancouver Sprint in Vancouver, and Marie Marchand-Arvier, world champion in Super-G in 2009.
