Evident material problems deny Johannes Boe the record for consecutive races in the season and Laegreid takes advantage of it, bringing him closer in the general standings while Christiansen is second. Once again Giacomel proves to be a man race biathlete recovering twelve positions.

At Le Grand Bornand the start was postponed to try to limit the risks that the ice that covered the track during the night could cause especially on the downhill stretches and the lap was shortened by three hundred metres.
The appointment is for history: Johannes Thingnes Boe starts with an 18 second advantage to establish himself in the Pursuit and bring home the sixth consecutive victory in the season as no one has ever been able to do after having equaled in Thursday's Sprint strips that in the past only Ole Einar Bjoerndalen and Martin Fourcade had been able to complete.
Bib numbers are also played on the track for the first mass start of the season where the first 25 biathletes in the World Cup standings will be joined by the 5 who have obtained the best results between today's Sprint and Pursuit.
In the first lap the gaps between the first remain almost unchanged while behind the lance remains Christiansen who recovers positions. Johannes Boe misses the last target while Laegreid is perfect and the two come out separated by 4 seconds in favor of the squire. Timofei Lapshin is at 41 seconds, Christiansen, Claude and Krcmar at 47 seconds. After the penalty lap, Doll is 52 seconds behind while Giacomel, who makes no mistake, climbs back to twelfth position at 1.18.9 and 4 seconds behind Johannes Dale in ninth.
A wild Christiansen shortens again in the second lap and arrives at the second polygon 30 seconds behind the two compatriots and Giacomel also recovers positions in ninth at the entrance. The former are not wrong: Laegreid fastest at the Boe shooting range earns another two seconds with Christiansen at 34 and Fabien Claude (10/10 on the ground) at 45 seconds. A mistake for Giacomel who slips into sixteenth position at 1.39.1, 20 seconds behind Krcmar, fifth.
The incredible recovery of Vetle Sjastaad Christiansen continues while Johannes Boe gives way and the two enter the third polygon paired at 17 seconds. Standing up, Laegreid and Boe make mistakes and Christiansen finds himself leading the race with his young compatriot while the leader of the general classification is 19 seconds away, Claude 42 seconds away. Giacomel sets the fifth fastest time on the lap but another mistake takes him to thirteenth place at a minute and a half.
The winner of last season's Pursuit in Ostersund makes a vacuum while Johannes Boe suffers who in the half-lap suffers in the partial 20 seconds from the leader of the race who in the last shooting session makes two mistakes while Laegreid makes no mistake to whom the doors are opened of the first victory of the season. Johannes Boe is not wrong either, who is second at 25 seconds and has to defend 10 from Christiansen.

The French Fabien Claude (0-0-1-1) is fourth at 43.7, fifth is Filip Andersen (0-0-1-0) at 54.1. The sixth position goes to the Swede Samuelsson (1-0-0-1) at 1.03.6, seventh Quentin Fillon Maillet (0-0-0-0) at 1.10.7, eighth Guigonnat (1-0-1-2) to 1.13.4. Tommaso Giacomel (0-1-1-1), with the fifth time in today's fraction, climbs from twenty-first place in the Sprint to ninth place at 1.15.0. The top ten is closed by the Ukrainian Pryma (0-0-0-1) at 1.21.2.
The rookie Daniel Fauner (0-2-2-1) is fifty-sixth at 6.33.5.
