Biathlon: Roeiseland first in the Mass Start in Hochfilzen, Wierer third

The first segment of the Women's Biathlon World Cup ends with the victory of Mars Roeiseland, which strengthens its position at the top of the general classification.

After a first round of study enlivened only in the last phase by an acceleration of the pace by Mars Roeiseland, the first shooting session has some famous victims such as Hanna Oeberg, Julia Simon, Franziska Preuss and Denise Herrmann. Hanna Oeberg, sucked by Roeiseland, fails to recover and floats 16 seconds from the first with the Norwegian and compatriot Persson. Davidova is not wrong who finds himself in the lead with Roeiseland, Wierer after a mistake is third at 13.3 with Knotten (15/15), Elvira Oeberg and Tiril Eckhoff. Hanna Oeberg is still wrong and is eighth at 28.6. Eckhoff is in charge of dictating the pace to Wierer and Elvira Oeberg, while Knotten does not hold up, to file seconds for the leading duo where Roeiseland is arrembante. At the start of the decisive shooting session Eckhoff is at 12 seconds, Dorothea and the Swede at 17. Hanna Oeberg and Herrmann at 36. Roeiseland is not wrong and Wierer and Eckhoff also go 5/5 at 11 seconds, error for Davidova at 28.1, Herrmann is fifth at 32.4. Mars Roeiseland (0-1-0-0) wins with the yellow bib on Tiril Eckhoff (0-0-1-0) at 14.0 while the second podium of the season for Dorothea Wierer (0-0-10) arrives at 26.9.
