In the same weekend of the Norwegian opening of Sjusjoen, the winner of the 2018 World Cup made his home debut by facing Ekaterina Yurlova and a Belarusian biathlete patrol.

Already on tight skis, Kaisa Makarainen has shown good shooting accuracy. In the Sprint on Saturday the Finnish champion sealed a 10/10 at the shooting range with a 1'14 "advantage over the Belarusian Iryna Kryuko (9/10) and 1''30" Ekaterina Yurlova (9/10). Mari Eder Laukkanen, burdened with three errors, closed in fourth place at 1''34 ".
In the pursuit of yesterday, Makarainen decided to put himself to the test going up in the back, finding a good 18/20 shot. The result was a furrow dug towards the opponents with the second, Yurlova, with just under three minutes with three errors and Mari Eder Laukkanen at 3''27 "and 14/20.
In the men's field came the victories of the Belarusian Anton Smolski in the Sprint and the Finnish Hildensalo in the Pursuit.
