"I was looking for answers from this race and they arrived": Wierer's satisfaction after the Sprint

The second stage of Oberhof began with a fundamental place of honor for Dorothea, also to keep the cup games open. "We know in which direction to work to further improve the shot."

A heavy second place, the first in a seasonal Sprint and with zero at the shooting range found, in this race format, after a year. Dorothea Wierer comes out with a smile from the first of the two individual races of the encore stage of the World Cup in Oberhof, bent only by an unbeatable Tiril Eckhoff who is now following Mars Roeiseland (virtually surpassing her with the game of scraps) in a general classification that is still open question also for the blue, 5th only 5 points from Elvira Oeberg and less than 140 from the two Norwegians up front. "After a fairly negative last weekend, I knew that this race would be important to have some answers both in terms of the shooting range and the condition of the skis - Doro's post-race analysis - I'm satisfied because I felt better in both aspects of the race, but something is still missing to get to the top; there is some time to reach it and above all we know in which direction to work to do so. It had been eight races since I hadn't made a zero at the shooting range in a sprint and the skis allowed me to keep a good pace. We just have to continue on this path ”. Relay on Saturday, mass on Sunday and then it will be home stage time in Anterlselva.
