Christiansen dominates the Norwegian Summer Biathlon Championships, OK Tandrevold and Eckhoff

Vetle Christiansen confirms his excellent summer form by scoring a double in the national championships that took place over the weekend in Lillehammer.

The twenty-nine year old from Geilo started the job on Saturday winning the Norwegian Sprint title thanks to a 10/10 at the shooting range and the pace on the roller skates that allowed him to precede the outgoing champion, Sivern Guttorm Bakken (10 / 10) and Sindre Pettersen (11.8) by 11.8 seconds. Johannes Boe (7/10) and Sturla Holm Laegreid (9/10) are only eighth and tenth while Tarjei Boe (7/10) closes in eighteenth position and Johannes Dale (6/10) is twenty-third at over two minutes. Christiansen repeats himself in Sunday's Mass Start and, once again perfect shooting, wins the national comeback title by overtaking on the last lap Johan-Olav Smoerdal Botn (19/20) who pays 9.2 seconds on the finish line preceding just over two seconds Johannes Dale (18/20). Johannes Boe (17/20), fourth, remains at the foot of the podium, while his brother Tarjei is only tenth with three errors. In the women's field, Ingrid Tandrevold is the Norwegian champion in the Sprint in a race where, despite a 10/10 shooting, she had to defend herself in the last lap from Mars Roeiseland (9/10) who closes just 2.4 seconds behind the winner. It is Lotte Lie (10/10) who gets on the third step of the podium while three errors at the shooting range cause Tiril Eckhoff to slide to eighth position. The World Cup holder took her revenge in the Mass Start where the clear path to the 4 polygons allows her to lead Mars Roeiseland by 21.9 seconds (18/20). Third place in one minute for Karoline Knotten (18/20) while five errors forced Ingrid Tandrevold to fourteenth position.
