The World Cup holder raises the white flag for the first stage of 2022: "I have to find the condition before returning". Plans change towards the Olympic Games.

The problems continue for Tiril Eckhoff after a subdued start to the season. Her early return from France due to malaise, before the Christmas break, continued in the following weeks, which is why the Norwegian champion announced her forfeit for Oberhof (6-9 January). “I had an intense training session two days ago and I was very tired.
Now I have to get back in shape before returning to the World Cup ”, Tiril told NRK microphones. A setback that changes plans for the next Beijing Olympics. “I have to keep hoping and believing that I'm doing my best to get back into shape, but I have to admit that I'm not in top form at the moment,” concluded Eckhoff.
Therefore now the plan is to compete in Ruhpolding and later in Anterselva, before flying to Beijing.
