After the Bronze medal in the opening Individual, the youngest of the three brothers from the Vosges wins the Gold medal at the Biathlon World Youth Championships in Obertilliach.

Emilien Claude (0 + 0) imposes himself with a gap close to half a minute, 26.1 seconds, against the Czech Mikulas Karlik (0 + 1). The Bronze medal goes to Russian Mikhail Pervushin (0 + 0), ruler of the 2018 Youth World Championships when in Otepaeae he won the Gold in the Individual and in the Sprint and the Silver in the Pursuit, which closes at 33.1 seconds behind the winner.
The best of the young Italians is Iacopo Leonesio (1 + 1), eighteenth at 1.21.8; David Zingerle (1 + 1) is twentieth at 1.23.6. Michele Molinari (1 + 1) closes in thirty-fifth place at 1.56.1, thirty-seventh Cedric Christille (1 + 1) at 2.04.2
