After a day of rest, the European Biathlon Championships have resumed in Duszniki Zdroj (Poland). In the morning the women's Sprint and in the afternoon the women's Sprint.

The new continental champion is the 29-year-old Latvian Baiba Bendika (0 + 1) who preceded the young Norwegian Karoline Erdal (0 + 0) at the finish line by 5.7 seconds while the Russian Anastasia Shevchenko (0 + 0) climbs on the third step of the podium, fourth in Thursday's Individual, by 9.7.
In a very tight ranking with 27 biathletes in the space of one minute to compete for the title of the Pursuit tomorrow, the Bronze of the Individual, Larisa Kuklina (1 + 0) is, today, off the podium for just over two seconds and precedes the young compatriot Valeriia Vasnetcova (0 + 1), fifth at 12.3. The twenty-three year old Norwegian Emilie Aagheim Kalkenberg (0 + 0) is sixth at 16.2 from the winner.
The first of the blue is the nineteen year old Rebecca Passler (0 + 1), forty-fifth at 1.30.9, 4 seconds behind the former Swedish cross-country champion, Stina Nilsson (1 + 1). Beatrice Trabucchi (0 + 0) is 54. at 1.37.0, Eleonora Fauner (1 + 1) 60. at 1.49.3, Nicole Gontier (1 + 2) 65. at 1.57.8.
