BiathlonAlpen Cup
Still a great show in the second and final day of OPA Alpen Cup biathlon competitions staged at the Carnia Arena in Forni Avoltri (UD).

Today the federal center located in Piani di Luzza hosted the sprint races which gave interesting information to the Italian biathlon team and great satisfaction for the colors of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
In the women's senior race, a clear affirmation for Federica Sanfilippo (GS Fiamme Oro) from South Tyrol who promptly redeemed herself from the disappointing performance of the individual. Sanfilippo (1 + 1) preceded Nicole Gontier from Valle d'Aosta (CS Army) (1 + 2) by 16 "and Eleonora Fauner (GS Carabinieri) (1 + 1) from Sappada by 1''09. Michela Carrara was only fourth winner of the '' yesterday's individual, which thanks to six errors (3 + 3) was unable to fight for success.
Victory by Forni Avoltri instead in the Youth female category, with Sara Scattolo (GS Fiamme Oro) (0 + 1) who took the well-deserved success on the home track, preceding by 57 "the Aosta Valley Martina Trabucchi (SC Brusson asd) (1 +1) and 57 "1 the German Lilli Bultmann (0 + 1).
Peremptory success for Rebecca Passler from South Tyrol in the junior race. The standard-bearer of the Carabinieri (0 + 1) led Beatrice Trabucchi from Valle d'Aosta (CS Army) (0 + 1) by 1''00 and her fellow countryman Hanna Auchentaller (GS Carabinieri) (3 + 0) by 1'05 ".
Triplet by Fiamme Oro in the men's race in the Youth category. Victory for Nicolò Betemps from Valle d'Aosta (GS Fiamme Oro) (1 + 0) who repeats the success achieved yesterday in the individual. Second place for Stefan Navillod (0 + 0) 14 "off the top and third position for Marco Barale (0 + 2) who preceded Mattia Piller Hofer (CS Carabinieri) (1 + 1) fourth and best of the Friulian athletes.
Foreign wins in the other categories. Among the senior men solo success of the Swiss Yannick Kreuzer, while among the Youth I satisfactions for Slovenia with the victories of Pavel Trojer and Zaia Repe.
Thus ends a weekend full of satisfactions for the ASD Monte Coglians which together with the Sci Cai Trieste Asd has brought an international biathlon event back to Forni Avoltri after many years. The Carnia Arena, which for the occasion showed off its new shooting range equipped with 30 Kurvinen electronic templates, will again be the scene of important competitions at the end of January, with the Italian Youth Biathlon Championships.
