The two Russian biathletes have given birth in the past few hours to their first child while the Belarusian, born in St. Petersburg, Nadezhda Skardino announced her pregnancy.

The birth of the first daughter of Tatiana Akimova and her husband Vyacheslav Akimov has been announced. The twenty-eight year old Russian biathlete, who interrupted his competitive activity at the highest levels after the PyeongChang Olympics, in his career conquered the World Bronze Age in the 2017 Relay of Hochfilzen remembered in the annals for the controversy on the podium when there was a lack of close hand between the Frenchman Martin Fourcade (silver with team-mates Anais Chevalier, Marie Dorin and Quentin Fillon Maillet) and the Russians Alexander Loginov and Anton Shipulin in the midst of the Russian doping controversy.
