After a head to head lasted three and a half fractions France with Fillon Maillet had the best of Germany and won the gold medal. Silver for a disappointed Norway who overtook Germany in the end, bronze medal.

The first fraction was animated and selective from the first meters. Hofer raised the pace on the first lap and the race split in two. Together with the blue they remained the favorites for the medals: France, Germany and Norway.
