At the end of the tests carried out in Canmore, the technicians of the American biathlon team have decided the names of biathletes who will defend the colors stars & stripes in the first three seasonal stages.

The choices are not obvious, it is why it was decided to leave vacant a bib in the women's field, and because one of the most anticipated athletes among men is not in top form.
The selected are the following:

DONNEDUNKLEE Susan (1986) Claire Egan (1987) REID Joanne (1992)
In the men's field, there were no surprises. The main news is, however, Sean Doherty, who in all likelihood will not be the game of Östersund. The Fed has indicated that it is recovering from an unspecified illness, and - at best - will make its debut at Pokljuka.
In the women's retreats of the number 2 and number 4 of the movement, namely Hanna Dreissigacker and Annelies Cook, they have opened the doors of the World Cup at the young Joanne Reid, able to impress positively during the disputed test in Alberta.
It will be left vacant a breastplate, since the available places are four, but coaches did not consider worthy of the maximum no other athlete circuit. Probably a fourth girl will be aggregated at Pokljuka in order to compete in the relay.
For the second consecutive year the US coaching staff will have among its ranks the skiman frassinorese Federico "Helmut" Fountain.
