Yesterday evening, the Salzburg police broke into the International Biathlon Federation headquarters as part of a doping investigation.

For the moment there are no official communications either from the investigators or from the IBU president Anders Besseberg. According to the Austrian media, the police seized various computers and documents and questioned Nicole Resch, general secretary of the federation. As mentioned, the first hypothesis is that it is an operation linked to a doping investigation, but it is not possible to exclude a second track, that of corruption in the field of TV rights.
