BjÃ¸rndalen is also the record holder in terms of podium finishes (6) where, however, Sven Fischer is now up to 5, albeit without ever winning. In this format the dominance of Norway is scary because the Scandinavian country's winning 10 times out of 13, however, consecutively. Ole Einar Bjoerndalen boasts a 6-row of successes (1999, 2001, 2003, world cup 2005, 2006, 2007) then continued by Emil Hegle Svendsen (2008, 2009, 2011) and Tarjei BÃ¸ (2010). The three Norwegians not to have won a pursuit are French PoirÃ©e Raphael (1998), the German Andreas Birnbacher (2011) and Slovenian Jakov Fak (2012). Just tracking the'' last year'' s single ended without any Norwegian biathlete on the podium.
