When everyone was expecting yet another chapter in the challenge between Johannes Boe and Martin Fourcade, the twenty-seven year old from Passau imposes himself under a heavy snowfall.

The two expected protagonists fight throughout the race: Fourcade has the rhythm of the best moments in the first lap but on the ground he leads a cautious shooting session that gives him a 5/5 but allows Johannes Boe to gain fifteen seconds than the champion French cancels susli ski. Both pay a round of penalties on their feet and launch for the last lap with an 8 second advantage for Fourcade. Practically at the same time the young Norwegian Andersen, author of the only 10/10 of the day while Johannes Kuehn is about ten seconds.
The German's last lap allowed him to win the victory with 8 seconds on Andersen, 19 on Fourcade and 23 on Johannes Thingnes Boe. The excellent German race is completed by Philipp Horn (0-2) fifth, Arnd Peiffer (2-0) eighth and Erik Lesser (0-1) ninth. It is sixth, 27 seconds behind the winner, the French Simon Desthieux (0-1) who precedes the Czech Adam Vaclavik (0-1) while Fabien Claude, author of the best time on skis, is only tenth burdened by three errors in feet.
The best of the Azzurri is Thomas Bormolini, twentieth at 1''08 "with two errors on the ground that precedes by 5 positions and 15 seconds Giuseppe Montello (0-1). Dominik Windisch and Lukas Hofer close almost paired at 2''20" with 4 and 5 penalties, sixty-fifth Daniele Cappellari (1-0), seventy-third Braunhofer (1-0).
