It is a record number of entries in the Italian compressed air biathlon championships, which will start tomorrow morning on the snows of the Carnia Arena International Biathlon Center in Forni Avoltri.

The Federal Center located in Piani di Luzza will be the scene of the most important youth biathlon in Italy in the next two days. In fact, there will be 233 young biathletes belonging to the Boys (under 13) and Allievi (under 15) categories who will compete in the sprint tests tomorrow morning.
An important appointment for the Carnic center, organized as usual by the local Asd Monte Coglians in collaboration with the Sci Cai Trieste Asd and with the precious contribution of PromoTurismoFVG, which confirms the high level of preparation of the two Ski Clubs in being able to organize high level competitions despite the unfavorable period.
The weekend of races of the Italian Championships will open tomorrow at 10.00 with the start of the men's and women's sprint races valid for the Junior category, then at 13.00 it will be the turn of the Boys category who will face the same race format.
The results of the sprints will also be decisive for the pursuit tests to be held on the morning of Sunday 31 January and which will complete the long weekend of the Italian Compressed Air Biathlon Championships.
The Forni Avoltri competitions will follow the strict protocols on the subject of Covid-19 provided by the Italian Federation of Winter Sports.All athletes must in fact: 1) deliver the COVID self-certification forms duly completed for each athlete and companion; 2) indicate in which accommodation facilities its own committee and the date of arrival and departure are housed; 3) collect the identification bracelets and access to the track for both athletes and technicians, to be worn for the entire duration of the Championship;
The two days of competitions in Forni Avoltri will be closely followed by Neveitalia.it, the reference portal in Italy for the world of mountains and winter sports, which for some years has been closely following the sporting events of the Carnic center and which also offers the webcam service of the structure.
