BiathlonAlpen Cup
69 athletes representing four different nations will be the absolute protagonists of the two days of Forni Avoltri competitions valid for the OPA Alpen Cup 2020-21 biathlon circuit.

The renovated federal center "Carnia Arena" located in the locality of Piani di Luzza, will be the scene of an international event after many years and will do so by providing biathletes with a brand new shooting range, equipped with 30 Kurvinen electronic templates, and completed in record time at the end of last October.
The two days of international competitions will allow you to see several important young prospects from Switzerland, Slovenia and Germany on the snow of Forni Avoltri, but also athletes who have trodden the World Cup stage several times such as the blue Federica Sanfilippo, Michela Carrara and Nicole Gontier.
The rich competition program will start tomorrow with the individual races. It will start at 10.00 with the men's senior test which will see only Yannick Kreuzer (Switzerland) at the start, and will be followed by the Junior and Youth competitions in which several Italian athletes are enrolled and among these also the color bearers of Friuli Venezia Giulia: Ribbi (Chamois), Piller Cottrer and Piller Hofer both of the Carabinieri.
Afterwards it will be the turn of the girls, where there will be great anticipation in seeing the comparison with the Seniors by the blue belonging to the Junior Auchentaller, Passler, Sciarpa and Trabucchi category and above all by the arrembante Youth Linda Zingerle.
After the exciting challenge between the Seniors, it will be the turn of the Juniors and Youths where Sara Scattolo from Sappada will also be present.
The event, behind closed doors, organized as usual by the ASD Monte Coglians in collaboration with the Sci Cai Trieste ASD and financed by PromoTurismoFVG, will also be an important test bench for the organizers in view of the EYOF 2023 whose biathlon competitions will take place right in Forni Avoltri. On this occasion, the Organizing Committee tried to bring a large number of volunteers closer to biathlon, who will be fundamental for the European Youth Olympic Festival.
The two days of competitions in Forni Avoltri will be closely followed by Neveitalia.it, the reference portal in Italy for the world of mountains and winter sports, which for some years has been closely following the sporting events of the Carnic center and which also offers the webcam service of the structure.
