Good satisfaction for the colors of Friuli Venezia Giulia arrived in the second and final day of the Italian Compressed Air Biathlon Championships which took place on the snows of the Carnia Arena International Biathlon Center in Forni Avoltri.

After the sprint races that yesterday saw the color bearers of the Entracque-Alpi Marittime Ski Club and the ASD Anterselva as the main protagonists, today in the pursuit tests the Friulian athletes have raised their heads.
In the Junior category (Under15), Desiree Ribbi (Camosci) from Ovara was the protagonist of a splendid performance at the shooting range that allowed her to close in second place behind Carlotta Gautero (Ski Club Entracque-Alpi Marittime) who yesterday it was also imposed in the sprint. The Carnic daughter of art, was able today to overtake the other standard bearer of the Ski Club Entracque-Alpi Marittime, Matilde Giordano, who at the end of the sprint preceded her by 15 seconds.
In the male test of the Junior category (Under 15) another success for the South Tyrolean Hannes Bacher (ASD Anterselva) author of 2 errors at the shooting range (0 + 0 + 2 + 0) who repeated the Italian title won yesterday in the sprint. The ASD Anterselva standard-bearer preceded Manuel Contoz (Amis De Verrayes) (1 + 1 + 2 + 2) from Valle d'Aosta by 2''58 "4 and Michel Deval (Amis De Verrayes) by 3''02". Good performance In the Friuli Venezia Giulia home for Marco Da Pozzo (SS Fornese) fourth at 3 '' 48 from the gold medal.
Moving on to the Junior category (Under 13), South Tyrolean triumph with 5 athletes from the Alto Adige Committee in the top 5 of the ranking. The winner was once again Julian Huber (ASD Anterselva) who repeated yesterday's success in the sprint ahead of Andreas Braunhofer (ASV Ridanna) and Jonas Tscholl (ASV Martell). Best of the Friulians Filippo Tach (Camosci) fourteenth.
In the women's field, another victory for the Entracque-Alpi Marittime Ski Club, with Luna Forneris good at overtaking Elsa Canins (Alta Badia) and her teammate Giada Ravera (Ski Club Entraque-Alpi Marittime) yesterday winner of the sprint. The Fornese Chiara Polo was the best of the FISI FVG Committee, finishing in twelfth position.
Thus ended the triptych of sporting events that saw the Carnia Arena in Forni Avoltri the scene of important biathlon events. Last December the center of Piani di Luzza hosted the Italian Cup races and at the beginning of the year the first and for now the only competitions of the international OPA Alpen Cup circuit were held. The well-established organizational structure led by the local Asd Monte Coglians in collaboration with Sci Cai Trieste Asd and with the precious contribution of PromoTurismoFVG, it has once again shown that it is able to manage important events despite the decidedly unfavorable period for major events. Now the hope is that this center can continue to grow further.
