In the men field the Estonian Jakob Kulbin prevails and the best blue is Christoph Pircher eighteenth.

The sixteen-year-old Estonian Jakob Kulbin takes advantage of one of the few 10/10 days at the shooting range to get the Gold medal around his neck in the Sprint of the Under 19 category of the Biathlon World Championships in a race that has repeated in the other steps of the podium the protagonists of the Individual on Wednesday. The 17-year-old Slovak Jakub Borgula (1-0) is confirmed as the Silver medal at 7.4 seconds, while the German Albert Engelmann (0-1) is still Bronze, at 8.4 seconds. The winner of the Individual, the Finnish Heikkinen (0-1) has to settle for fifth place at 27.9 preceded also by the Polish Badacz (0-1).
The best of the blues is Christoph Pircher (3-0), eighteenth at 1.27.5, while Marco Barale (1-1) is twenty-third at 1.41.0. Nicolò Betemps (3-2) closes at 2.39.1 in forty-second position.
In the women's field, the eighteen year old Norwegian Maren Kirkeeide (0-1) takes away from Slovenian Lena Repinc (1-0) for 7.5 seconds the satisfaction of repeating last year's Gold in Obertillach which was the prelude to a back-to-back Sprint - Pursuit. The eighteen year old from Ljubljana is just 1.5 seconds ahead of the German Iva Moric (0-0) who, after the Silver won on Wednesday in the Individual, puts the Bronze medal around her neck.
Leading up to the last polygon, Sara Scattolo (0-2) has to settle for sixth place at 29.0 from the winner; Fabiana Carpella (1-2) is twenty-third at 1.58.0 while Ilaria Scattolo (2-0) closes at 2.05.1, twenty-fourth
