At 12:10 in Le Grand Bornand the first Mass Start of the season kicks off. With the unknown of the track conditions, which however should be improved, the Norwegians will try again to lay down the law after having monopolized the podium in the Pursuit.

There will be no less than 6 Norwegians, ready to do battle and conquer new podiums, after the 5 obtained in two races at Le Grand Bornand and the 15 seasonal ones seasoned with 8 victories in 9 races. An authentic domain that of the Norwegian men's team that did not get on the podium (and did not win) only in the Kontiolahti Individual.
The favorites are Johannes Boe, who in these parts has already won in the format in 2019, ahead of Jacquelin and his brother Tarjei, and Sturla Holm Laegreid, who in the Pursuit has reached double figures of victories and is in an open streak of 6 podiums consecutive. But beware of the French, who have not collected any satisfaction between the Sprint and Pursuit but will try to redeem themselves.

Last year there was a transalpine triumph with Emilien Jacquelin triumphing ahead of Quentin Fillon Maillet, with the latter chasing his first podium of the season. Among the protagonists there will also be Tommaso Giacomel, fresh from another great comeback in the Pursuit, finished in 9th place. The blue has shown that he has feeling in the men's races and who knows that the surprise will escape us for ... a bang at the end of the year.
