Laura Dahlmeier will participate in the World Mountain Running Championships

The unstoppable German champion after a summer of climbing and cycling will be at the start of the world festival scheduled for November 15 and 16 at Villa La Angostura in Argentina.

It is Dahlmeier herself who emphasizes to the Suddeutsche Zeitung how in recent months she has also dedicated herself to the new discipline by running a couple of races; one of these, the Zugspitz Ultratrail in the Garmisch area held on Saturday 15 June, was a qualifying test of the German federation for the world event. The bi-Olympic champion of PyeongChang 2018 has imposed itself on the 39 kilometers and 2000 meters of unevenness of the test and in the last days the convocation has arrived. "I am very happy to live this new experience", underlines Dahlmeier, "I didn't have the slightest hesitation when I received the call. I will prepare in the best possible way even if I can hardly aspire to victory as it happened to me in Biathlon, I still miss the ''experience". The name of Laura Dahlmeier joins those already announced in August by Stefanie Doll, Moritz auf der Heide, Benedikt Hoffmann and Florian Reichert; in Patagonia, on November 16th, the competitors for the long distance world title will face the path, already tested over the years by the K42 Adventure Marathon that every year sees 1200 athletes at the start, almost 42 kilometers with 2.184 meters in altitude and start and finish at Paseo de Los Pioneros.
