Sjusjosen does not make it and gives way to Lillehammer. Eckhoff hopes to return on November 12-13 after a difficult summer without training.

From Norway comes not very comforting news on the calendar and from the two champions Mars Roeiseland and Tiril Eckhoff.
The pre-season stage that was to be held in Sjusjosen on 12 and 13 November has been moved to the town of Lillehammer where the colder temperatures will allow you to compete. In fact, the lack of snow in Sjusjosen puts the organizers in a position to take the preserved snow and move it to Lillehammer thanks to the snowfarming technique.
"By moving the event, we can start the season with longer runs in better condition than it was in Sjusjosen," Christian Gedde-Dahl told Norges Skiskytterforbund. In fact, the Lillehammer track has a 2.5 km loop already covered in snow.
In this regard, the reigning champion of the CdM Mars Roiseland raised the white flag for the Norwegian stage due to the St. Anthony fire that hit her in the summer. Indeed, Roiseland is still in a state of convalescence as mentioned in his interview with VG: "For me it is still too early to compete but I hope to be at the starting gate in Kontiolathi in Finland". Therefore, the Norwegian champion is doing everything to get back to her top form but we will have to wait a few weeks for further updates on November 29, the starting date of the new 2022-2023 biathlon CdM.
Doubtful situation for Tiril Eckhoff who will have to discuss with the coaches and the doctor next week to decide whether to participate in Lillehammer or not. On the other hand, Eckhoff did not best mitigate the post covid symptoms so much that he did not participate in any training with the Norwegian national team.In any case, his physical condition is improving and this opens a glimmer of light to that darkness. that has surrounded it in recent months.
It is a race against time for the two strong Nordic biathletes with the hope of regaining the right energy and at least more than enough form for the first stage of the biathlon CdM.
