In the only previous season, at Le Grand Bornand, Elvira Oeberg won ahead of Julia Simon and Kristina Reztsova, with Dorothea Wierer at the foot of the podium. Since then, the blue has risen in condition and today will be one of the contenders for the top 3, if not for victory. The podium in the format is missing from Hochfilzen 2020, the success from the Oestersund 2019 world championships. A victory today would be significant, because it would bring Doro to 10 seals in the World Cup in races on the four polygons. For Italy there will also be Lisa Vittozzi, whose goal is to overcome unscathed (or almost) the first polygon.

The latest winner in the Mass of Anterselva bears the name of Julia Simon. The Frenchwoman, second in the Individual, starts among the favorites, together with compatriot Braisaz. Attention also to the Belarusian Alimbekava, who is chasing the first victory in the format, to the Russian Reztsova and to Mona Brorsson. On the other hand, Hanna Sola seems to be in decline, while Tiril Eckhoff also proved to be not at the top in this stage.
