At 13:00 the start of the first women's pursuit of the season with the Austrian in front of everyone. The race promises to be open and some big names, including the blue ones, will try the comeback. In Italy, Michela Carrara, Samuela Comola and newcomer Hannah Hauchentaller did not qualify.

Lisa Theresa Hauser will open the race. Strengthened by the success achieved in Thursday's Sprint and the yellow bib as the leader of the general classification of the World Cup, the Austrian is looking for the first career victory in the format. The advantage, however, is not reassuring. Elvira Oeberg will start at 13 ", currently the strongest athlete on skis, and shortly afterwards there will be Hanna Sola (+14"). Alimbekava (+21 "), Preuss (+24") and Anais Chevalier (+28) will also have a gap of less than half a minute.
Instead, Hanna Oeberg will have to try the comeback from the rear, at the start with bib 11 and 47 ”to be recovered from the tread. The Swede will precede Roeiseland (+48 ") and Vittozzi (+49"). Shortly after it will be the turn of the other blue at the start: Dorothea Wierer (+55 ").

For the win, also pay attention to Denise Herrmann, who starts 9a at 43 ”behind Hauser. The German boasts two career successes in the format in Oestersund, obtained between 2017 and 2019. A success, conquered last March instead for Marte Roeiseland, who will try to hit the 10th career victory and keep the Norwegian dominance intact in the women's Pursuits . She and Eckhoff have in fact imposed themselves in the last eight races and the last non-Norwegian victory dates back to two seasons ago. Eckhoff, who will start with 32, could go on the hunt for the tenth career success in the format. However, the holder of the crystal ball does not seem to be the one from last season.
