The Summer Biathlon Italian Championships began today in Val Martello with the Sprints.

In the men's field, the title went to Lukas Hofer who, despite a mistake by polygon, preceded by 4 "8 Giuseppe Montellio, author of an excellent performance with only one mistake in the standing session. He climbed onto the third step of the podium Dominik Windisch (2 +1) which closes at 54 "3 from Hofer, fourth at 1''01" 5 for Thomas Bormolini (1 + 2) and fifth for Rudy Zini (0 + 1) 1''42 "3.
Among the juniors the title went to Didier Bionaz (Esercito), ahead of Tommaso Giacomel (Fiamme Gialle) and Daniele Cappellari (Fiamme Oro); in the Under 19 youth category, David Zingerle stands out among the under-17 aspirants Lorenzo Solero.
In the women's field comes yet another victory this summer for Lisa Vittozzi; the sappadina is perfect at the shooting range and ahead of 1''28 "8 Dorothea Wierer, burdened with two errors per shooting session. Third position for Nicole Gontier (2 + 1) at 2''30", fourth Federica Sanfilippo ( 1 + 3) to 2''46 "5 and Alexia Runggaldier (2 + 1) to 2''54".
Among the juniors the Italian title goes to Eleonora Fauner, in the Giovani Under 19 to Rebecca Passler and in the Aspirants Under 17 to Veronika Rainer.
