Lukas Hofer wants to get back on track with an unconvincing physical condition that puts his career at risk. In the spring, the possible decision on his future.

The blue Lukas Hofer continues to have physical problems due to the tendonitis that struck him in November and since then he hasn't seen the track in CdM yet.
Something that doesn't work is more than evident especially after deciding to have an operation on his hand after the end of last season, precisely with an attempt to return to top form without suffering major injuries. "At the moment it's all a question mark. I don't know what the cause is because usually this type of problem happens to footballers and not to biathletes." tells our colleagues at sportnews.bz
A problem that does not let the South Tyrolean sleep peacefully, leading man of the blue national team after the departure of his companion in CDM adventures Dominik Windisch. Born in '89, he is one of the oldest and most experienced in the business in a career in which he gained certain weight satisfactions between Olympic and world medals to which are added a couple of individual successes.
"Usually these pains disappear in six weeks but at the moment I haven't found a solution to this problem. It's a really heavy handicap to bear" Already after last season his knees had given him problems and after the operation he was went to Sweden to some rallies with the various Samuelsson and Ponsiluoma to improve his shooting and biathlete qualities, but the current situation places the boy from Brunico at a potentially important crossroads. "I have to see and understand if I can keep the problem under control before the world championships in Oberhof from 8 to 19 February, and above all I have to ask myself whether my health will allow me to continue my career as a biathlete or not." concludes Hofer giving himself more time to make this decision which could also end his career or not, possibly in the spring.
