The thirty-one Arnd Peiffer, zero of the day in the Ostersund wind storm that in the morning had also made him fear a postponement of the race, won hands down the Gold medal in the 20 km men's World Championships thanks to a prudent race conduct that guarantees him the first 20/20 in his career in an Individual and allows him to unleash the horses in the last lap to avoid pitfalls from the many protagonists who follow him in the starting list.

The elder brother of the house Boe pays a minute of penalty to the second range and helps to bring the World Cup of specialties into the house.

Dominik Windisch never enters the race, due to two errors at the first polygon, and closes in twenty-ninth position with 4 errors at 4'31 "0 from Peiffer, worse goes to Martin Fourcade still insufficient on the skis that with 4 errors closes at 5'46 "0. Thomas Bormolini pays three minutes penalty and is forty-third while 4 errors lead Thierry Chenal to seventy-second place.
