The IBU decided yesterday during the Salzburg congress which city will host the 2027 biathlon world championships.
This is Otepaa in Estonia which will host the event for the first time in the history of its country where the events will be held in the Tehvandi stadium, a place already part of the biathlon CdM
Specifically, the Estonian citizen has ticked off the other candidate Kontiolahti in Finland, already organizer of the exhibition on three occasions (2015, 1999 and 1990).
As for the editions, the Otepaa review will follow those already scheduled in Oberhof in Germany in 2023, Nove Mesto in the Czech Republic in 2024 and Lezerheide in Switzerland in 2025 ..
