The fifth Italian medal at the Biathlon World Youth Championships in Obertilliach comes from the women's Pursuit Junior category: it is won by the nineteen year old Rebecca Passler, already a Silver medal in the Sprint.

A superlative Amy Baserga (0-0-1-0) completes the double Sprint - Pursuit and places a serious risk on the role of the main protagonist of this world review. The Swiss, who started with a 25-second advantage in yesterday's Sprint, is never put under pressure by her opponents and wins at the finish with 41.8 over the Norwegian Synne Owren (1-0-1-1). Rebecca Passler (0-1-1-1) pays the errors to the first target of the last polygons and gives in on skis in the last lap and has to settle for the Bronze medal at 47.5 from the winner.
