Dorothea Wierer wins the fourth medal of her World Championships: the second Silver after the one in the Mixed Relay and the two historic Gold of Pursuit and Individual.

At the start Dorothea Wierer decides to take command of the operations by dictating the rhythm of the platoon with Mars Roeiseland, Herrmann and Eckhoff on the tails while from the belly of the group comes Justine Braisaz but, as usual, there is no selection. The former, except Eckhoff, pay a mistake and at the top of the race he finds himself in an outsider group led by Julia Simon, Innerhofer and Davidova. Eckhoff is at 6 seconds, Oeberg, Roeiseland, Wierer and Herrmann between 20 and 30 seconds while Braisaz and Vittozzi with double error are at 52 seconds. The ranks are tightened in the second lap and from the second series standing Innerhofer and Simon come out, Hojnisz is at 7.3, Herrmann, Wierer, Bescond and Oeberg at 12 seconds. Eckhoff is wrong, slipping to 34 seconds while Roeiseland is beyond the minute. The Italian-German couple returns to the first and shows up in front of the first shooting range with Innerhofer and Hojnisz while Julia Simon gives 7 seconds but is the only one to score a 5/5 among the first, Oeberg is not wrong either who comes out second at 10.9 while Wierer with an error is third at 20.8 and precedes Monika Hojnisz by 8 seconds. Eckhoff paying a penalty round is at 46.6, Roeiseland (5/5) at 56.6. Julia Simon struggles a lot to stem the return of Oeberg and Wierer: Dorothea pays a mistake while Oeberg and Simon go twice in penalty and it is Mars Roeiseland to undermine the blue recovering them 14 seconds playing all in the last 800 meters; the Norwegian goes to conquer the Gold with 20.7 who surrenders.
