Yesterday was the stage of the traditional gala evening of the Czech biathlon federation. During the event, Gabriela Koukalova was rewarded as "biathlete of the year", but above all Jitka Landova announced her withdrawal from the competitions.

Accepted on stage by standing ovation, the twenty-six-year-old explained that the decision was made because his physicist did not allow her to continue.
Chronic fatigue syndrome does not work out because, after three months of total rest, I have returned to the skis, I realized that I can not really get back to work again. The doctors have reassured me, but I always fear that by striving hard I can recover From one moment to the next. If I can not give it all, then it is worth it to stop.
I would like to stay in the biathlon environment, I still love discipline and people who populate it. For example on stage Gabriela (Koukalova, ndr) gave me the trophy received as biathlete of the year. When I was going to give him back he told me he was not telling him, it was a gift for me. Then I told her that she is not the biathlete of the year but of the century.
My biggest satisfaction remains the 2014 - '15 season, the one in which 3 wins and 5 podiums came in with the staffs and where we won the specialty World Cup.
Now I'm going to Brno University for a master's degree in physical education. I would also like to start teaching or becoming an asshole. I will talk to our head coach Ondrej Rybar to find out what the best way to go. But I do not intend to freeze behind the canopy! That's why I'd rather work with kids. "
So Landova is not even 27 years old (he will do them in July). He has already mentioned the results obtained in the relay. At the individual level, the best placement is a 10th place in the Ruhpolding sprint of January 2015. He also got a Gold and Silver at the 2013 Skiroll biathlon World Cup.
For the record, various accolades were given during the gala evening. As Koukalova said, he was elected biathlete of the year, winning both the "technical" (175 points, 100 against Moravec, 91 for Puskarcikova, 81 for Krmcar and 49 for Slesingr), and "popular" Readers of the Idnes head (where he got a plebiscite, collecting 82%, 5% of the preferences).
Eva Puskarcikova has been awarded as a "best athlete". The best young awards went to Marketa Davidova and the best trainer in Zdenek Vitek.
