2021 Biathlon World Youth Championships
Fabio Piller Cottrer (0 + 0) wins the third Italian medal of this edition of Obertillach of the Youth and Junior Biathlon World Championships. The sappadino, son of the Olympic cross-country champion Pietro, climbs on the second step of the podium in the Sprint category Youth.

Eighteen-year-old Russian Denis Irodov (0 + 0) wins the world title, doubling the Gold medal won in the opening Individual, who precedes Fabio Piller Cottrer by 21.1 in the final order of arrival. The Bronze medal was won by the Polish Jan Gunka (1 + 0) who finished 27.9 seconds behind the winner.
The performance of the seventeen year old Marco Barale (0 + 1) is also good, seventh at 58.9 from Irodov while Stefan Navillod (0 + 3) closes in twenty-eighth position at 1.54.2. Sixty-ninth Nicolò Betemps (5 + 1).
With the two Silver medals won today by Piller Cottrer and Linda Zingerle, the blue team reaches three medals in the medal table thanks to the Bronze medal by Beatrice Trabucchi in yesterday's Individual Junior.
