Stina Nilsson has fulfilled her dream: from cross-country skier to biathlete, the call-up for the Olympics is official

The Swedish Olympic Committee announced today the last two biathletes selected for the next Beijing 2022 Olympics, scheduled for next February 4th to 20th. The names are those of Mona Brorsson and Stina Nilsson. Strengthened by the excellent performance on Friday in the women's relay in which she took the first career podium in her new discipline, Nilsson managed to fulfill a dream pursued since spring 2020. After becoming Olympic champion in cross-country skiing four years ago in the individual sprint, earning a total of five medals at the Games, now has the same opportunity in biathlon. “I am proud of my career as a biathlete. I'm about to experience my third Olympics, but for me it will be ... the first. I am motivated by this new challenge and I can't wait to experience my first Olympic Games as a biathlete, ”she explained in a press release. Nilsson and Brorsson will join the other four Swedes already qualified for the Olympic review. A quartet composed of the sisters Elvira and Hanna Oeberg, Anna Magnusson and Linn Persson.
